Dark Eyes Aka Les Yeux Noirs is a must-know-song in gypsy jazz , but it’s not that easy to play. Of course it depends on how you want to play.

In this lesson , let’s learn the basic technique and arpeggios , scales which are super important things.

In the video lessons , most of notes are just 4/4 rhythm because it’s basically arpeggios practice. So when you use them in your solo , please change the rhythm and feeling suite to your solos.

Dm6 – D F A B

A7 – A C# E G Bb(Bb is a b9 of A), (Also A79 arpeggio is used. in this case A C# E G B)

Bb6 – Bb D F G

Gm6 – G Bb D E

Bb7 – Bb D F Ab Bb (Sometimes, A7 arpeggio is used as altered arpeggio)

Also when it’s dominant chords, b9 and 9th notes are used.
