Misirlou, as known as Theme song of Pulp fiction , is old old song from somewhere around Greece and Turkey which means Egyptian Girl.

It is said Misirli is a turkish word for ‘Egyptian’ and ‘lou’ is a greek way to end the word. But in the end, its a very very old song like over 1000s years old or some says 2-3000 years , so we don’t know where it came from.

Anyways, it’s a cool song  so never mind where it comes from.

Lets play!!

solo

There are slow version and fast one.

If you are not familier with speed picking, practice slow tempo with a metronome.

If you can do speed picking then try to reach 200-220BPM. It’s fast enough to call speed picking!

140BPM

180BPM

It’s only simple chords but when I play this song with gypsy jazz guitar or acoustic guitar, I play E and F with open strings. Because it sounds nicer.

Also, if you play rhythm guitar like above, it is very difficult to play like that when it’s fast. So you can just change the backing pattern.
