Do you know that gypsy jazz players use unique chords?
Of course we also use Cmaj , Cm … like rock or folk music but we often use C6 , C69 , Cm6 … like this 6 chords. This 6 gives you nice gypsy sounds.
One more identical chord is diminish chords. We substitute 7th chords for diminish chords which is very gypsy sound.

I suppose if you know these chord shapes , then you will be able to play 95% of gypsy jazz songs.
When you practice chords, try to play in the other keys too!
Just one thing about C69 on the 8th bar , it’s tricky to play this chord because you have to use thumb and press down multiple strings with one finger. This will take time to get used to it especially if you have small hands.

Can’t remember chords?
You just should keep playing and playing and playing til you remember.
Probably you should play the songs you love , it’s easier to keep playing same chords. That’s all we can do about it !
Oh don’t forget to change the keys otherwise you will just remember one key.
